From Thomas Boylston Adams to Rufus King, 21 October 1800

Philadelphia 21st: October 1800


Since my letter to you of the 29th: September, covering a Draught to the Order of Messrs: William & John Wister Junr: Merchants of this place, for Five hundred pounds Sterling, which you were desired to place to the account of my Brother, John Q Adams; I have received a letter from him, dated at Berlin the 15th: of July, which instructs me that he had remitted to you in London, a further sum of Five hundred pounds Sterling, which awaited my draught.

I have accordingly this day drawn for the above amount in your hands, in one sett of Exchange, at thirty days, in favor of William & John Wister Junr: on order, which I have no doubt will be duly honored.
