Head Quarters Middlebrook 26th April 1779.

Sir

Your favor of the 24th instant with the inclosures was duly handed me.

I have taken such measures respecting the salted provisions, as I hope will prevent the like complaint in future.

The paper on the disputed subject of the arrangement I shall consider the first moment I am at liesure. I am sir your most obt servt.
