Paris, 1 Aug. 1792. The Duc de Penthièvre has recommended Monsieur de La Mariniere, who requests for his daughter-in-law, Madame de La Mariniere, an introduction to the best company in Baltimore, where she has taken refuge from the calamities of Saint-Domingue. Having no particular connections in that town, he recommends the matter to TJ’s kind attention.
