Having been confined to the house by sickness now 4. months I can no further comply with the request in your letter of Aug. 18. than by thanking you for it’s kind expressions towards myself acknoleging the pleasure I receive from every testimony that my services have been acceptable to my follow citizens and assuring you of my best wishes and respects
