Philadelphia Dec. 18. 1793.

I have laid before the President your letter of the 16th. instant, and in consequence thereof have written to the Attorney General of the US. a letter of which I have the honor to inclose you a copy, and to add assurances of the respect with which I am Sir Your most obedt & most humble servt
