[Philadelphia] Thursday1 Apr. 11. [1792] Th: Jefferson has the honor to send for the perusel of the President some letters from mister Barclay received yesterday.2 he has received no letter from mister Short, nor any other person in France.

2. The enclosures were Thomas Barclay’s three dispatches from Gibraltar giving news of affairs in Morocco and on the Iberian Peninsula, all of which were received at the State Department on 10 April (see Barclay to Jefferson, 16 Jan., 23 and 24 Feb. 1792, in 23:46–47, 144–45).
