I have the honor to propose Docr. R. Chew for Surgeons Mate, and Wm. P. Graham for second Lieut. of the Corps of Artillerists in the service of the United States.

Richard chew was among the military nominations TJ sent to the Senate in his message of 18 Nov. 1803. William P. graham resigned his commission in October 1803 (Heitman, Dictionary description begins Francis B.
