Sir,

I have the honor of proposing for your approbation, Erastus Granger of Suffield (Connecticut) as Agent for the Six Nations of Indians—vice Capt: Callender Irvine resigned—

I am with Sentiments of respect &ca.

FC (Lb in DNA: RG 107, LSP); in a clerk’s hand.

Dearborn wrote erastus granger on 30 Jan., informing him of his appointment as agent to the Six Nations and enclosing copies of his commission and instructions (FC in Lb in DNA: RG 75, LSIA).
