The enclosed very respectable recommendations from Mr Senator Green, Mr Edmund Trowbridge Ellery, & Capt Chris. Raymond Perry of Mr Robert Greenleaf to be a lieutenant of Marines. I recommend to your serious attention in case of a vacancy.
