Dear Sir

I mentioned to Genl Howe that you wish’d to have a Copy of the Signals of Alarm for West Point—He informs me that He left it with the commandg officer there—but lest it should be mislaid I will make Application to Capt. Bannister at Verplanks (who believe me Dear Genl is an attentive & very intelligent Officer) to transmit it to you by this first Opportunity—Excuse me for reminding you of the Paper for copying Maps, which you were so kind to promise me & beleive me Dear Genl with the greatest Respect & Esteem your most obedient
