Camp Nelsons point July 8th 1780


It is with regret that I find myself under the necessity of recommending to your Excellency Capt. Lacey and Lieut. Palmer of the 5th Connect Regt for a discharge from the Service, for the reason’s assigned in their resignations which will accompany this.

From the present situation of the Regiment it will receive no peculiar injury therefrom. I have the Honor to be Your Excellency’s Most Obt Servant
