Head Quarters Morris Town 11th: May 1780


You will be pleased immediately upon the Receipt of this to come forward yourself or send on an Officer with all the Horses of your troop fit for service, and leave directions for the remainder to follow as soon as possible—They are wanted for a very particular service and therefore no time must be lost in reaching this place. I am, &c.
