May it please Your Excellency

Sir Having been in a poor state of Health for several Months past which hath Rendered me incapable of Militery Duty the greatest part of the time And still continuing in such an unhealthy state as affords no probability of my being servicable to the Public I pray Your Excellency may be pleased to permit me to Resign my place in the Army and give me a discharge from the Same. I am Sir Your Excellencys most obedient humbl. Servt
