Sir.
I have the honor to submit to you a form of a Commission which it may be proper to give to the Chickasaw Chiefs they being extremely desirous of something of the sort.2
I also enclose a letter just received from Captain Williamson of the Genessee Country.3 I am, Sir, Most respectfully, Your obedt Servt

1. Though the LS is undated, it is docketed with the date "19 July 1794," and the letter-book copy is dated "July 19. 1794."
2. The enclosed form has not been identified. Reportedly GW gave army commissions to some members of the Chickasaw delegation visiting Philadelphia at this time (Gazette of the United States and Daily Evening Advertiser [Philadelphia], 9 Aug.).
3. The letter from Charles Williamson has not been identified.
