Navy Department, August 23d: 1815.


I have the honour to inform you, that the appropriation for Repairs of Vessels is exhausted, and to request your signature to the enclosed transfer of funds, to enable the Navy Department to meet the current expenses under that head. I have the honour to be, Very respectfully, Your Obedt: Servant. By order of the Secretary of the Navy.

In pursuance of the authority vested in the President of the United States, by the Act of Congress passed on the 3d. day of March, 1809, entitled "an Act further to amend the several Acts for the establishment and regulation of the Treasury, War, and Navy Departments", I do hereby direct, that out of the balance of the appropriation for building barges, there be applied one hundred thousand dollars to Repairs of Vessels. Given under my hand this 26th. day of August, in the Year of our Lord, 1815.
