Department of State, March 29th. 1806.


I have to request that you will be pleased to cause a warrant for twelve hundred dollars to be issued, to be paid out of the appropriations for Barbary purposes, in favor of James Davidson Jnr. the holder of a Bill of Exchange drawn upon me by James Simpson, Consul of the U. States at Tangier, on the 30th. Novr. last--the said Simpson to be charged therewith on the Books of the Treasury. I am &c.
