James Madison Papers

To James Madison from Joel Barlow, 10 February 1806

10 Feb. 1806

Dear Sir

Permit me to ask you to read the enclosed Prospectus, & if its principle meets your approbation, to encourage it among your friends in the legislature.

I may mistake the true interests of the country. But it appears to me that this subject embraces one of the most essential of them. Yr. obt. Sert.

Joel Barlow
