22 January 1805, Mississippi Territory. “David Ker Esqr. one of our territorial Judges departed this life about half past four of the clock on yesterday evening. In the death of that Gentleman the territory sustains a great loss: He was an able and faithful officer, a firm republican, and a friend to his country.”
