To Thomas Jefferson from Francis O Meara, 18 August 1804

Shipped In good Order and well Conditioned, by John Marrast in and upon the good Sloop called the Maria whereof is Master, for this present Voyage, Francis O Maria and now riding at Anchor in the Harbour of Norfolk and bound for City Washington to say, Two Boxes Mertal Wax Candles

Being marked and numbered as in the Margin, and are to be delivered in the like good Order and well Conditioned, at the aforesaid Port of City Washington (the Danger of the Seas only excepted) unto Thomas Jefferson Esqr or to his Assigns, he or they paying Freight for the said Goods, viz. as Accustomary

In Witness whereof the Master of said Sloop hath affirmed to 3 Bills of Lading, all of this Tenor and Date; the One of which being accomplished, the rest to stand Void.—Dated in Norfolk, the 18th day of August 1804.
