Natchez 10th May 1820

Dear Sir

Mr Hodson from Liverpool Engld will hand you this letter, He is a respectable intelligent Gentleman, with whose acquaintance I feel confident you will be gratified I therefore recommend him to your friendly attention It is probable that on his way to Richmond he may pass through Albemarle, If that should be his determination, you will oblige me by giving him a letter to some Gentleman in the Neighbourhood of Monticello
