Philadelphia, 10 Nov. 1791. Having asked Frederick A. Muhlenberg to introduce to TJ “Mr. Halbach of Remschua,” who has come to America to see if his house’s “very extensive manufactory of Ironmongery, arms &c.” can supply the American market, he gives assurances that his sole view in this is to encourage intercourse between the United Netherlands and the United States.
