Enclosure (Vi): Resolve of Congress of 24 Mch. 1781 authorizing and requesting the executive of Virginia “to appoint suitable persons to settle the accounts of Colo. Wood respecting his command in superintending the prisoners under the convention of Saratoga and if they shall think it right to allow his reasonable expences between the two posts which he superintends with those for one servant while on that duty.”
TJ laid this resolution before the Council on 4, Apr. and that body advised that “Doctor Thomas Walker, John Walker & Nicholas Lewis esquires or any two of them be requested to settle the said accounts” (Va. Council Jour., ii, 327).
