Dudley Digges to Charles Magill

[Richmond] 16 Aug. 1780. The governor being absent, Lt. Gov. Digges acknowledges a letter addressed to TJ by Magill on 8 Aug. with intelligence of “some successful advances on the enemy” by “our troops” with the southern army. Is anxious to have further news of “their progress and maneuvres.”
