I am desired to inform you, That Aa. Giles2 Note for One thousand Dollars endorsed by you was protested yesterday Evening for non-payment, and that the Holder looks to you for payment of it.

2. Aquila Giles, a resident of Kings County, served in the New York Assembly from 1788 to 1793. From May, 1792, to March, 1801, he was United States marshal for the District of New York.
