War Department, Accountant’s Office, April 15, 1794. “Nothing having been done to relieve me in the settlement of the retained rations of the Officers of the Army,2 and claims occuring in the present year I am obliged to request that you would be pleased to furnish me with the value of a complete ration at the several places of contract in this year.”
