West-Point Decr: 27th—1799.


Sensible of the importance of your Excellencys time, I beg leave briefly to state, that being out of business at this Post, I wish to be employ’d as superintendant to some one or other of the Arsinals erected, or erecting by the United States, or in any way in the line of my business that will yeild me a decent living—and that your Excellency may think my Abilities equal to.
