Gentlemen of the Senate

I nominate the Honourable Jonathan Dayton of New Jersey to be Lieutenant Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Artillerists and Engineers in the place of La Rochefontaine

William Ward Burrows of Pennsylvania to be Major of Marines under the Act for establishing and organizing a Marine Corps.
