I am desired by the French Ambassador to inclose to your Excellency a Petition of Mary Collet, a Person unknown to me, but the wife of an officer, whom the french ambassador has reasons to wish to serve, The case is equally unknown to me, with the Persons, I can therefore only recommend both to your Excellencies attention Knowing very well that Justice & Humanity will have their due weight with your Excellency, in this & all other Cases.
