We have been duly honor’d with your Excellency’s Letters of 15 Novr. & 10 Inst:, the former contained your Excell’ys Approbation of the advances made to Mr. Jefferson on account of the United States, as well of what said Gentleman might have occasion for ’till we receive further directions thereon from Congress, or the Board of Treasury, in Consequence of which we have Continued furnishing him with such sums as he wanted.—The latter handed us the ratification of Congress of the last Loan opened here for their Account, of one million of Guilders, which we shall do the needfull with, & for which your Excellency will please to accept our Sincere Thanks.—
