Adams Papers

From John Adams to Jan Willink, 8 May 1787

Grosvenor Square May 8. 1787

Since my Letter to you this Morning, I have thought it most prudent to send you the original bills and Send Back the Protests only to the Board of Treasury.—You will consider what is best to be done. The Board of Treasury will be responsible to you, and you will please to write them the result of your reflections upon the Business. I need not say to you that these bills must again be presented and protested for Non Payment
