Je viens encor une fois d’incomoder votre Excellence et de la prier de faire donner cette lettre incluse à mon frere, capitaine de la legion du Comte de Pulasky, qui arrivera ces jours à Paris.5 Esperant que votre Excellence ne me prendra pas à mauvaise parte cette liberté, je Suis avec la plus profonde Soumission et respect, votre Excellence le tres humble et tres obeissant Serviteur

4Based on a second letter from the captain (XXX, 78), dated Oct. 1, 1780, in which he says that it has been more than three months since he wrote to BF with a letter for his brother. Since he has had no answer from his brother, he fears an accident and asks BF to send him news. APS.

5After being granted leave by Congress, baron de Frey landed in Bordeaux sometime in early April when he agreed to carry packets to BF: XXXII, 228–9, 230. He writes on Aug. 8, below.
